• Whiting man, 80, dies in crash on Route 79 in Marlboro (app.com) — An 80-year-old Whiting man died Friday after his car crossed the center line on Route 79 in Marlboro and hit a pickup driven by a 52-year-old man from the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, who survived without life‑threatening injuries. Monmouth County authorities are still investigating and are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact county or Marlboro detectives.
