Body Of Clammer Recovered From Sandy Hook Bay

The body of a Pennsylvania man who disappeared while clamming in Sandy Hook Bay has now been recovered.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — The body of a Pennsylvania man who disappeared while clamming in Sandy Hook Bay has now been recovered.

New Jersey State Police troopers pulled the body of Eric Daviduk, 64, of Southampton, PA from the waters of Sandy Hook Bay Wednesday afternoon.

A passing boater noticed a body in the bay at approximately 4:06 p.m. Wednesday and called 911.

Daviduk was last seen Monday in the area of the Atlantic Highlands town marina. His motorboat, which police say was set up for commercial clamming, was found empty and floating in the water at 10:45 a.m. Monday near the SeaStreak ferry dock in Atlantic Highlands.

Atlantic Highlands Police, other local police agencies, NYPD and NJ State Police searched throughout Monday night and into Tuesday for the man.

Southampton is a town in lower Bucks County, PA.
