As a nor'easter drenched the town, relatives and friends hustled across Kings Highway to transform the vacant space with lights, music, and a dance floor, creating a nostalgic yet hip venue that kept 80 guests dry and delighted.
   

• Trinity Hall, Middletown South battle to 1-1 tie in clash of red-hot girls soccer teams (nj.com subscription) — Middletown South's girls soccer team extended its strong start with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Trinity Hall in a Shore Conference A North showdown at Red Bank's Maria Gatta Community Park. Riley Kapler scored for Middletown South, with Lili Iasparro assisting, while goalkeeper Julianna Fiore anchored the defense with nine saves through regulation and two overtimes.
