MilkShake Factory Opens Soon In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — MilkShake Factory will open its fifth New Jersey location, and it will be located in Middletown.

They will be located at 1377 Rt. 35 Middletown, NJ 07748, in the shopping center where Trader Joe's, PetCo and Meemom's is located. They plan to open there Nov. 14.

They will hold a grand opening from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. that Saturday, featuring a buy-one, get-one-free offer on shakes, sundaes and molten cups, free MilkShake Factory T-shirts for the first 100 guests, a gift basket for the first guest in line and giveaways throughout the afternoon.

The Middletown location is owned and operated by local franchisee owners Andrea and John Walsh, a married Middletown couple who have called the town home for the past 11 years.

"Middletown has been home to our family for more than a decade, and there's something really special about opening our first MilkShake Factory right here," said Andrea Walsh. "We've raised our children here, built wonderful friendships, and made so many memories along the way. Being able to bring something we genuinely love to the people who have been part of our lives makes this opportunity even more meaningful. We can't wait to open our doors and share it with everyone."

The Walshes said they want to create a convenient, welcoming place where residents can stop by for an after-school milkshake, a family outing or a sweet treat after dinner. Situated along the bustling Rt. 35 corridor, the new shop offers an accessible spot for neighbors to gather and enjoy something special together.

"We want this to be the kind of place where families make memories, kids look forward to stopping by after school and neighbors run into familiar faces," said John Walsh. "What drew us to MilkShake Factory was the care that goes into everything they make, and we're excited to bring that same level of quality and hospitality to Middletown. Our hope is that this becomes a place people return to again and again, not just for the milkshakes, but because they feel welcome every time they walk through the door."

MilkShake Factory has fan favorites like Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Campfire S'mores, alongside handcrafted sundaes, molten chocolate cups, and housemade chocolate treats. Every item is made with MilkShake Factory's signature ice cream, created fresh in-store daily using the Edwards family's exclusive recipe.

Founded in 1914, the company was started by the Edwards family as a small soda fountain and chocolate shop in Pittsburgh, PA.
