MILLBURN, NJ — Several road construction projects will be kicking off in Millburn next week.
According to a municipal advisory, Essex County will be making traffic signal and roadway improvements at the intersection of Millburn Avenue and Vauxhall Road the week starting Monday, May 18.
“Work crews anticipate keeping the roadways open during construction, but there may be periods of time when some local driveways are inaccessible,” the advisory said.

ROAD PAVING PHASE TWO
Meanwhile, another round of road paving will be starting in Millburn next week.
“Weather permitting, our qualified contractor, JA Alexander, will begin road improvement items the week of May 18,” a township advisory said. Work hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“The contractor will likely begin repairs on Falmouth Street first. There will be two crews working around town. Please drive cautiously and follow all road signs and detours. Please remove vehicles from your driveway by 7 a.m. each morning. You may park your vehicle on side streets during construction.”
“Residents should take the time now to mark any sprinkler or irrigation system located in the township right of way (near the curb or road edge of their property) to prevent damage to their system during construction,” the advisory said.
