MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police recently made three arrests involving attempted burglaries that took place at homes on Sagamore Road. Two of the suspects were also charged in connection with a car theft at a local Trader Joe's parking lot, authorities announced Wednesday.
The Millburn Police Department released details about each incident:
May 8 – Millburn police issued warrants for three Newark residents in connection with the theft of a 2024 BMW M24 from the Trader Joe’s parking lot. Arrest warrants were issued for Znajay Nelson, 18, Zameer Suggs, 18, and Kyree Lane, 22. Each was charged with motor vehicle theft and conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft.
May 11 – An attempted burglary took place in January, authorities said. The suspects arrived in a 2024 BMW X3 that had been reported stolen out of West Orange. After an investigation, police arrested two Newark residents in connection with the attempted burglary: Znajay Nelson, 18, and Zameer Suggs, 18. Nelson and Suggs were each charged with attempted burglary, receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), conspiracy to commit burglary, and conspiracy to receive stolen property.
May 14 – Attempted burglaries took place on Dec. 17 and Dec. 20 in 2025, authorities said. During both incidents, the suspects arrived in a 2012 Hyundai Sonata that had been reported stolen out of Newark. After an investigation, police arrested three Newark residents: Znajay Nelson, 18, Zameer Suggs, 18, and Hakeem White, 19. Each was charged with multiple counts of attempted burglary, receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), conspiracy to commit burglary, and conspiracy to receive stolen property.
