MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn residents who need to handle township business should plan around the upcoming holiday weekend.
Municipal offices will be closed all day Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day, according to the township calendar.
That means anyone hoping to visit an office in person may want to finish their business by Friday or wait until the township resumes regular operations. Millburn's temporary Town Hall offices are located at 22 East Willow Street and normally operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. The Building Department normally closes at 3:30 p.m.
The calendar notice does not mention whether the holiday will affect garbage collection, recycling, parking enforcement or other municipal services.
Residents should watch the township website and Millburn Alert system for additional announcements before the holiday. The closure gives municipal employees the day off while reminding residents to plan ahead for any time-sensitive permits, payments or service requests.
