• Millburn to Undertake Short Hills Train Station Improvements Ahead of NJ Deadline (TAPinto.net) — Millburn officials are racing to finalize designs for upgrades to the Short Hills train station so the township can keep a $479,000 state transportation grant. With historic preservation recommendations now being folded in, Millburn plans to bid the project soon and must award a construction contract by mid-December to preserve the funding and move improvements forward.
• Boys Soccer: Results, photos, links and recaps for Thursday, Oct. 8 (nj.com subscription) — Millburn boys soccer is hosting Bridgewater-Raritan this afternoon at 4 p.m., one of many matchups in a packed statewide schedule. • Video: Betty Buckley Sings 'Rose's Turn' From 1998 GYPSY at Paper Mill (broadwayworld.com) — Millburn's own Paper Mill Playhouse is spotlighted through archival footage of Betty Buckley performing the showstopping "Rose's Turn" from its 1998 production of Gypsy. The clip is part of the theater's PMP Archives series, which revisits standout moments from its Legacy Project while also promoting current and upcoming productions like this year's Mary Poppins.
