CBS' Bill Cowher, James Brown Headline Discussion at Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center

Hosts of CBS' "The NFL Today" discussing all things football two weeks before Super Bowl XLIX

James Brown, award winning CBS television host, and Bill Cowher, former longtime Pittsburgh Steelers and Super Bowl-winning head coach, will be appearing at a special charity event at the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The event, titled “An Evening with James Brown and Bill Cowher”, will be a cocktail reception and interactive discussion on all things football two weeks before Super Bowl XLIX takes place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, according to a news release from the museum.

Brown, 63, a Washington, D.C. native, is currently the host of NFL Today on CBS and is also a special correspondent for CBS News. Before becoming one of the nation’s most well-known and accomplished broadcasters, Brown was a basketball star at Harvard and entered the broadcasting world as play-by-play for the NBA’s Washington Bullets (now Washington Wizards).

Cowher, a western Pennsylvania native, played five seasons in the NFL and coached for several years before becoming the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1992. He coached the Steelers to one Super Bowl championship in two appearances before retiring in 2006.

Tickets to attend “An Evening with James Brown and Bill Cowher”, are $250 and reservations can be made by calling (973) 655-2378. According to the release, all proceeds from the event will benefit and help fund the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center’s year-round education programs and initiatives.

The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center is located on the Montclair State University campus at 8 Yogi Berra Drive in Little Falls, New Jersey.
