Drug Awareness Programs to Take Place in March
Millburn municipal organization hosts public forums

The Millburn Municipal Alliance Committee for Drug Awareness (MMAC) invites the community to attend several informational opportunities during the month of March:
Wednesday, March 11, 7 p.m., Millburn Public Library Auditorium: Coalition Coordinator Michael Capko from NJ Prevention Links will talk to parents about current drug trends and steps families can take to be “one step ahead of their kids.”
Monday, March 16, 11 a.m., Millburn Public Library Auditorium: Empower Hour with Nancy Kislin, marriage and family therapist, featuring an important discussion about the “Selfie Generation” and how our children’s obsession with taking photos of themselves is affecting their self-worth, self-esteem, confidence and ambition. Wednesday, March 25, 9:45 a.m., Millburn Public Library Auditorium: In partnership with the Millburn High School and Millburn Middle School PTO groups, and in preparation for Alcohol Awareness month in April, the MMAC will present Steve Benvenesti, personal injury attorney and motivational speaker, who will share a “spring break story of hope and determination,” featuring tools and strategies to employ with kids to keep them safe and protected.
