Ed Foundation's Rocktoberfest Promises Fun for Everyone!
The 2nd annual Rocktoberfest is a fundraiser for the non-profit Ed Foundation that helps to fund Millburn's 8 schools
Less than one week till the Ed Foundation’s Rocktoberfest rocks Taylor Park on Sunday, October 1st and it keeps getting better! Thanks to the hard work of Rocktoberfest team, Joanna Parker-Lentz and Micole Ritcher, there are more activities for kids, more community sponsors and more fun for the whole family!
The event kicks off at 10am with stretching by YB Fitness and two Fun Runs, one for those under 10 years old and one for those 11 and over. Science, art and music lovers won’t want to miss the hands-on STEAM expo to be held at the Bauer Center starting at 10:30am. Meet with students from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering for Maker Space fun and then try your hand at DJing, music production, A Cappella singing, dance, musical theater, jewelry making and more!
Live music kicks off at 12pm and lasts all day. Bring your picnic blankets and beach chairs to enjoy a wide range of different music styles from the 12 musical acts scheduled to perform. Kids will enjoy inflatables, face painting, hair braiding, a photo booth, volleyball and more in Taylor Park. Community restaurants will have food available for purchase and there will be a biergarten with wine, beer and sangria as well as a raw bar!
