Egg Hunt On In Millburn's Taylor Park

The annual hunt is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday.

MILLBURN, NJ - Eagle-eyed children will be tasked with finding special eggs and filling their baskets with bounty as part of the annual egg hunt at Taylor Park. Children pre-school through second grade are invited to participate.

The event is sponsored by the Millburn Police Department, Millburn/Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Millburn Recreation Department and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Pre-schoolers will hunt on the tennis courts, kindergarten children on the open lawn north of the tennis courts off Whittingham Terrace and first and second graders will be looking for eggs on the softball field at the corner of Whittingham Terrace and Ridgewood Road.

Prizes will be awarded to the children in each category who find the “special” eggs. One special prize per child. Hunt will be held rain – shine – or snow, and outdoors if at all possible – please dress appropriately, organizers said.

Children should bring their own basket/container to hold the eggs they collect. Organizers said a special “thanks” goes out to merchant sponsors, including:
