Now that New Jersey has been declared a major disaster area, residents have three FEMA registration options in order to get relief and recovery help:
1. Apply online at the Disaster Assistance website.

2. Apply by smartphone at m.fema.gov
3. Apply by phone at (800) 621-3362. People with speaking disabilities or the hearing impaired, should call TTY (800) 462-7585

You can visit the FEMA website, www.fema.gov for updates on disaster relief. Residents who have had visits from FEMA already say the fastest way to get someone to come out is to apply via phone, rather than online.
