Millburn Car Crash: NY Man Charged With DUI
Millburn police charged a New York resident with DUI and assault with a vehicle after he crashed his 2006 Dodge Caravan on Essex Street.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police charged a New York resident with DUI and assault with a vehicle after he crashed his 2006 Dodge Caravan into a 2006 Ford Explorer on Essex Street last week and injured two people, authorities say.
According to the Millburn Police Department, the crash took place on Friday, Sept. 1, after an officer on patrol attempted to pull over the Caravan when it allegedly failed to maintain a lane. The car failed to stop as it approached Spring Street, crashing into the Explorer and causing injuries to its driver and passenger.
Emergency responders transported the injured driver and passenger to a nearby hospital with neck injuries, police said.

Authorities arrested the driver of the Caravan, Roman Khatchapuridze, 60, of Kew Gardens, New York, and charged him with driving under the influence and assault with a vehicle.
He was issued summonses and released, police said.
