Millburn Cops: Suspected Mall Shoplifters Apprehended On Summit Golf Course

Millburn police arrested a pair of Newark men after they allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of items from The Mall At Short Hills.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police arrested a pair of Newark men after they allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of items from stores at The Mall At Short Hills last week and fled onto the nearby Canoe Brook County Club golf course in Summit during their attempt to escape, authorities say.

According to the Millburn Police Department, the two suspects, Nakiem Boykin, 19, and Kevin Antoine, 20, allegedly stole a $575 belt from Louis Vuitton and $618 worth of items from Polo.

Boykin and Antoine then tried to flee the scene, running onto the golf course where police apprehended them, authorities said.

Police later recovered additional property allegedly stolen from Bloomingdale’s valued at $207, authorities stated.

Police charged Boykin and Antoine with receiving stolen property.
