Millburn Library announces TEDxMillburnLibrary Program
The Millburn Library will be showing inspiring pre-recorded TEDx Talks every month on a specific topic.
If you love TED Talks, this new program from the Milburn Library is for you. We are proud to offer this new monthly series showing pre-recorded TED Talks on a specific topic. Come join us and be inspired by ideas worth sharing!
What is a TED Talk? According to their website, TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged and today covers almost all topics - from science to business to global issues - in more than 100 languages. The Millburn Library will be part of a group of independently run TEDx events which help share ideas in communities around the world.
Our first meeting will be on Thursday, June 23. We will meet at 2pm in the auditorium (Meeting Room A) and watch TED Talks on the topic of design. We will meet every 4th Thursday of the month.
