Millburn Public Safety Workers Have $5.8 Million Worth of Absence Days

Combined, the employees are due over 37 years off the job.

How much would it cost Millburn if every public service worker in the township called in all of their absence days at once?

According to the township’s 2015 budget data, the city’s five categories of public safety worker – police, fire, dispatchers, public works and non-union – have 13,553 days of accumulated absence.

The grand total in compensated value comes out to $5.8 million.
