Millburn Students Make 'Period Packs' To Benefit Shelter

Millburn students created packs of feminine hygiene products and encouraging notes to donate to a homeless shelter.

MILLBURN, NJ — A pair of seniors at Millburn High School – both founders of feminist-related online platforms – recently hosted an event to create "period packs" of feminine hygiene products to benefit a nearby homeless shelter.

Chloe Xiang, editor-in-chief of kekemagazine.com, and Molly Grazioso, founder of realsextalk.org, held an event that drew 20 other Millburn students. During the benefit, the teens created kits of feminine hygiene products and encouraging notes to donate to a local homeless shelter, the Elizabeth Coalition.

“Joining our interests in female empowerment and giving back to our community, we were able to create over 50 period packs and collect hundreds of feminine products,” Xiang said.
