Police Investigate Wyndham Burglary

The Millburn police blotter also includes news of thefts at the Mall at Short Hills.

Police are investigating a burglary on Wyndham that was reported on June 29.

Reported missing from the home were jewelry, cash and two computers. Police believe someone entered the house through an open window or unlocked door. Someone entered an unlocked family vehicle in the driveway, but nothing appeared to be taken.

Police believe the burglary happened between 6 p.m. on June 28 and 9 a.m. on June 29, which is when the burglary was reported.

Three Arrested after Florham Park Incident

Millburn police arrested three Pennsyvalnnia residents after a report from Florham Park to be on a lookout for a vehicle that had been involved in a theft.

Naim S. Lewis, 31, of  Elkins Park, Pa., the driver, was arrested for possessing a baseball
bat and canister of pepper spray under circumstances not appropriate for lawful use. He was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon.

Sharlie D. McElveen, 28, from Wayne, Pa., a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for  possessing two hypodermic needles in her pocketbook. She was charged with possession with intent to use hypodermic needles.

Mackenzie L. Bailey, 19, from Media, Pa., a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for possessing in her pocketbook a canister of pepper spray under circumstances not appropriate for lawful use. She was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Police said they pulled the vehicle, a van, over on Route 24 East at just before 2 a.m. on June 30 because it matched the description provided by Florham Park police. The three individuals were turned over to Florham Park Police.

Police Investigate Thefts at Mall

Millburn police investigated two thefts at the Mall at Short Hills and made one arrest.

On Monday, the manager of Anthropologie reported the theft of eight shirts from a display table in the front of the store. The shirts have a combined value of $544. Police believe the shirts were stolen between 2-4 p.m.

On Saturday, police arrested Shamonique L. Armour, 19, of Newark, and charged her with shoplifting, receiving stolen property and obstructing the administration of law for an incident at Neiman Marcus. She is accused of concealing a pair of jeans valued at $319 and possessing a shirt valued at $69.50 that was placed in her shopping back by an unidentified male. She is further accused of claiming to police she was a 15-year-old juvenile and gave a false name.

Stolen Bicycles Recovered

Bicycles reported stolen by Summit juveniles were later recovered in a nearby neighborhood.

The juveniles reported the two bicycles stolen from Taylor Park on July 1 in Taylor Park. The bicycles were left unlocked near Main Street, but they were located a short time later by police lying in the grass near the corner of Whittingham Road and Parkview Drive.

Resident Reports Wallet, Credit Cards Stolen

A Pine Book resident reported her wallet was stolen while shopping at the Mall at Short Hills on Monday. She was contacted by her credit card companies and learned her stolen credit and debit cards had been used for transactions totaling over $5,000.
