Two Injured in Parsonage Hill Truck Crash
One person was transported via helicopter to Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Two people were injured when two trucks crashed on Parsonage Hill Road at John F. Kennedy Parkway on Tuesday afternoon.
One person was airlifted by Northstar medivac helicopter to Morristown Memorial Hospital, and the second was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not known. Firefighters had to work to extricate at least one of the victims.
The crash involved two trucks—a landscaping truck and a flatbed delivery truck—on the overpass on Parsonage Hill over JFK Parkway. The road was blocked between the two entrances and exits to the parkway, and cars were diverted via the highway.

The helicopter landed at Gero Park, and Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad transported the victim one block from the scene to the park via ambulance.
Summit Fire Department provided mutual aid at the scene to assist firefighters.
