Short Hills Food Drive: NJ Real Estate Firm Collecting Donations

SHORT HILLS, NJ — A New Jersey real estate firm is partnering with national nonprofit Move For Hunger to hold its 5th annual food drive, and is collecting food donations in Short Hills.

Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty will collect non-perishable food items at each of its 11 North Jersey offices until Nov. 30, hoping to add to its total of 68,000 pounds of donations over the past four years.

The past four years’ donations are equal to 56,000 meals, and are much-needed, organizers said. Click here for more information.

According to EndHungerNJ.org, the food insecurity rate in New Jersey is at 13% with 1,141,890 people being food insecure.

“Many people in our community are in need of our help and it is imperative to us that we do what we can to make a positive impact in their lives,” Charles Oppler, COO and co-owner of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty said. “This event is a company favorite for everyone involved and we will contribute as much as we can.”
