Service Project to Support Women in Need

From our Hearts to Theirs

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of St. Rose of Lima Church and Middle School students from St. Rose of Lima Academy came together to support those less fortunate. The school and parish communities collected toiletries, cosmetics and travel-sized personal care items. Then the students and auxiliary members met to package them into Valentine’s Day gift bags. Students in grades 1 through 4 created beautiful cards to accompany the gifts. The gift bags will be donated to women in need at St. Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth and Magnificat Home in Jersey City.

This service project was one of many activities taking place at the Academy during Catholic Schools Week, which began on Sunday, January 31.
