Theft of $40,000 in Items Reported on Forest Drive

Police are investigating a burglary reported on Forest Drive and the theft of more than $40,000 in items.
The burglary was reported on Wednesday, and the items reported stolen include jewelry and collectibles. Police believe the the incident happened between May 25 and the time of the report.
Police said a family member found the front door wide open on May 25. The incident was dismissed until the items were found to be missing on or about July 7.

Car Reported Stolen on Cypress
Police are investigating the theft of a car from a driveway on Cypress Street reported on Wednesday morning.

Police believe the theft may have happened around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, and the keys may have been left in the car.
Police Investigate Thefts, Make Arrests at Mall
Millburn police investigated several thefts and made arrests at the Mall at Short Hills last week.
On Saturday, the manager at Solstice reported someone stole a pair of Gucci sunglasses valued at $275. The manager believed the theft took place about one hour before it was discovered the sunglasses were missing.
Police arrested Taylor Dawson, 20, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and charged her with shoplifting, possessing burglar's tools and criminal mischief for an incident at Victoria's Secret on Saturday. She is accused of cutting sensor tags off two t-shirts, causing damage to them.
A Newark resident was arrested twice for shoplifting on Friday. Charles Glover, 45, faces charges of criminal mischief and two counts of shoplifting. He was arrested at the bus stop the first time at about 1:30 p.m. and is accused of removing a sensor tag and concealing a pair of Chanel sunglasses in his pocked from Saks Fifth Avenue. The glasses are valued at $450.
Then at 8:30 p.m., police arrested Glover again at Saks Fifth Avenue. He is accused of removing the sensor tag from a pair of sunglasses, valued at $295, and concealing them in his pants. He is further accused of breaking a second pair of sunglasses valued at $325 while attempting to remove the sensor tag.
