2 Attempted Home Burglaries Reported In Montclair: Police
MPD: An unknown man tried to enter a woman's home. Another resident was alerted about an intruder when her dogs began barking.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two potential attempted burglaries were reported in Montclair last week, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident.
Nov. 8 (Afterglow Way) – “A resident reported that at 1:17 a.m., an unknown person attempted to enter her residence through her rear door. The residence was locked and after a few attempts, the suspect moved on. The individual was described as a male with a thin build wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans and dark sneakers.”

Nov. 9 (Porter Place) – “A resident reported that an unknown person attempted to enter her home. She reported that her dogs began barking and upon investigating, observed one of her windows had been opened. There was no description of the suspect(s).”
