2 Cars Stolen, 1 Found In Montclair: Police

A pair of expensive cars were stolen in Montclair. Meanwhile, a vehicle stolen from Harrison was found in a resident's driveway.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pair of vehicles were recently stolen – and one found – in Montclair, police say.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were reported in the township:

Jan. 23 (North Mountain Avenue) – “The owner of a 2017 BMW X5 reported that his vehicle was stolen as he was loading items from his apartment to the car. A witness reported observing a young male in a yellow sweatshirt enter the car and flee north on North Mountain Avenue. The vehicle was recovered later in the day abandoned at the intersection of Broad Street and Lincoln Park in Newark.”

Jan. 25 (Christopher Street) – “The resident reported her 2020 BMW X6 was stolen from her driveway during the overnight hours. She reported accidently leaving her key fob in the front seat cup holder.”

Jan. 25 (Clinton Avenue) – “A resident of Clinton Avenue reported that when he woke up, he discovered an unknown vehicle parked in his driveway. The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander was determined to be a stolen vehicle from Harrison. Surveillance video shows the vehicle arrive in the driveway at approximately 3:35 a.m. There was no description of suspects.”
