2 Cars Stolen In Montclair, 1 Victim Left Keys Inside Vehicle: Police

One victim told Montclair police that he accidentally left his keys inside the car. A neighbor later spotted the vehicle speeding away.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two cars were stolen in Montclair last week, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each theft:

April 11 (Tichenor Place) – “A resident reported that his 2008 Mercedes 350 was stolen from in front of his residence. He had mistakenly left his keys inside of the car. A neighbor reported observing the car fleeing at a high rate of speed north on Nishuane Road at 12:30 a.m.”

April 13 (Plymouth Street) – “A resident reported that his 2023 Acura RDX was stolen from his driveway. He reported that he has the key fob to his car and is unsure how the suspects were able to steal it.”
