2 Cars Stolen From Montclair Home During Burglary: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two cars were stolen from a Montclair home during a burglary last week, authorities say.

According to the Montclair Police Department, officers responded to a home on Heller Drive on Jan. 14.

A resident told officers that when she woke up and went downstairs, she found that a window and several kitchen drawers were open and her purse was missing. The residents of the home then discovered that a 2025 BMW X6 was missing from their garage and a 2021 BMW X5 was missing from the driveway.

Security footage shows two men entering the home from the rear at 5:08 a.m. They were dropped off by a white sedan, police said.

STOLEN KIA

Another car theft took place on Upper Mountain Avenue on Jan. 18, police said.

The MPD released the following details about the incident:

"The resident reported that he was awoken at 2 a.m. by his security system alerting him to motion on his property. Upon investigating, he discovered that his 2024 Kia was no longer in his driveway. The suspect(s) left a 2022 Honda Pilot behind in its place."

The Honda was determined to be stolen from Paramus, police said.
