2 Montclair Car Owners Report Catalytic Converter Thefts: Police

Both thefts may have taken place late at night, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two Montclair car owners reported catalytic converter thefts last week, police announced Tuesday.

The Montclair Police Department released the following statements about each theft.

  • Jan. 4 (Christopher Street) – “The owner of a 2006 Honda Accord reported that the catalytic converter was stolen off of his vehicle. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 4.”
  • Jan. 9 (Bellevue Avenue) – “The owner of a 2006 Honda Civic reported that the catalytic converter was stolen off of his vehicle. The theft occurred during the overnight hours while the vehicle was parked in the driveway.”
