2 Montclair Restaurants Burglarized, Police Say: Fin, New Jin Lin

Montclair saw four burglaries in a week, including incidents at two local restaurants, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair saw four reported burglaries last week, including incidents at two local restaurants, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:

Jan. 1 - N. Mountain Avenue – “Burglary to a residence. Electronics and jewelry were taken. Access was gained by breaking a window.”

Jan. 2 - New Jin Lin Chinese, Bloomfield Avenue – “Burglary to a commercial establishment. Access was gained by smashing the front entryway door. An unknown amount of money was taken from the cash drawer.”

Jan. 4 - Fin, Glenridge Avenue – “Burglary to a commercial establishment. A cash drawer was taken in this incident. There was no sign of forced entry.

Jan. 7 - Sutherland Road – “Burglary to a garage. Two bicycles were stolen in this incident.”
