2023 Holiday Turkey Donation Drive In Montclair: How To Give

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Human Needs Food Pantry. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

The Human Needs Food Pantry located at 9 Label Street in Montclair wants to provide a turkey for every one of the hundreds of families we serve and we need your help!

When you are shopping and preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, please think of those who can’t afford to provide their families with a turkey and the traditional fixings.

Due to limited freezer and storage space, we will be accepting turkeys on the following dates:

• Saturday, November 18 from 8:00 am until noon
• Sunday, November 19 from 8:00 am until noon

The other holiday food donations can be dropped off on those days also or any Tuesday or Thursday before the holiday between 8:30 a.m. and noon.

In addition to turkeys, we are seeking donations of traditional Thanksgiving meal items including canned sweet potatoes, instant mashed, packaged stuffing, pie crust mix & fillings, canned cranberry sauce, and packets of turkey gravy to name a few.

The Montclair community has always been most generous with donations to ensure that we meet our goal of obtaining 1,000 turkeys and once again we are asking for your support. Help us make this Thanksgiving a good one for the wonderful families who rely on us.
