3 Cars Stolen In Montclair, Including 1 Near Local Restaurant: Police
Police say three cars were stolen in Montclair last week, including a BMW that was taken as its owner was parked in front of a restaurant.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Authorities say three cars were stolen in Montclair last week, including a BMW that was taken as its owner was parked in front of a local restaurant.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each theft on Tuesday.
February 21 (Bloomfield Avenue) – “The complainant reported that he parked his 2013 BMW 328 in front of Gong Cha restaurant and entered the establishment to pick up his order. When he returned the vehicle was no longer there. The engine was left idling however he had the keys with him. It was recovered on February 23 in Newark.”

February 23 (Christopher Street) – “The complainant reported that her 2022 Cadillac Escalade was entered during the morning hours. A white tote bag containing the following items was stolen: a gray fanny pack, Kate Spade Wallet, approximately $450 in cash, a New Jersey driver’s license, various credit cards, and a MacBook Air (color pink).”
February 25 (Pine Street) – “A resident reported that her 2017 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen from in front of her apartment during the overnight hours. She reported that the vehicle was locked and she was in possession of her keys.”
