Dr. Babushkin: CEREC digital dentistry: same day porcelain restorations such as crowns, onlays and inlays. White fillings, bleaching, veneers, root canal treatment, Invisalign, bridges, dentures, and preventive care.

Patch: What are the top three things readers can do to help protect their teeth?
Dr. Babushkin: 1.Have regular dental checkups and cleanings. We preschedule our appointments to keep people on the proper recall schedule, so they can maintain a healthy smile. 2.Floss! 3. Make the investment in your mouth for the long term health of your teeth. It’s worth it!

Patch: What is your favorite part about working in the Montclair community?
Dr. Babushkin: Being able to take care of my neighbors and friends.
Patch: If you had to recommend three books what would they be and why?
Dr. Babushkin: "Everything is Marketing": It taught me how to be great at customer service. "The Rent Collector": a heartwarming story. "Catcher in the Rye": a classic.
Patch: What is the most common issue you see with patients' teeth?
Dr. Babushkin: The notion that if it doesn’t hurt it doesn’t need fixing. When a tooth begins to hurt that usually means the problem has progressed to a more significant level. Take care of things when they pop up and let’s keep you without pain and sensitivity.
Patch: What is your own routine for taking care of your teeth?
Dr. Babushkin: I brush 3 times a day with a SONICARE tooth brush and floss once a day.
Patch: What made you want to pursue a career in dentistry?
Dr. Babushkin: Both my uncle and my brother went into dentistry and that sparked my initial interest. Once I realized how dentistry combined both art and science I was sold.

Patch: You’re not the only person in this business. How do you distinguish yourself from the others?
Dr. Babushkin: If you look around you will find plenty of dentists. What you won’t find is someone with my advanced training in digital techniques such as CEREC. I have been a CEREC dentist for almost 12 years now and am highly proficient at it. I value my patients time and try to provide a comfortable and quick procedure with a high quality and esthetic result.
Patch: What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given and who gave it to you?
Dr. Babushkin: Treat others how you would expect to be treated, as told to me by my parents. This is my philosophy when treating my patients and has helped make my practice of dentistry a successful one.
