3 Stolen Vehicles Reported In Montclair Last Week, Police Say
Two of the victims left their vehicles running, and another left the key fob inside their car prior to the thefts, Montclair police said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Three people reported vehicle thefts in Montclair last week, authorities said Tuesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents recently took place in the township:
Nov. 24 (Beverley Road) – A vehicle owner reported that he started his 2022 Mercedes Benz and then entered a residence on Beverley Road to gather personal items. When he returned a minute later, the vehicle was gone. It was recovered later that evening in Newark.

Nov. 26 (Elm Street) - A 2009 Audi was stolen while left running unattended on Elm Street.
Nov. 27 (Marion Road) - A 2020 BMW X5 was stolen from a Marion Road driveway. The key fob was reportedly left in the vehicle. Shortly after reporting the theft, the vehicle was recovered in Newark.
