3 Vehicles Stolen In Montclair, Recovered In Newark: Police
One of the vehicles was involved in a shooting, Montclair police said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Three vehicles reported stolen in Montclair were recently recovered in Newark, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:
- Dec. 7 (Grove Street) - A 2021 Black Jeep Compass that had been stolen from a driveway on Grove Street on Dec. 5 was recovered in Newark. The vehicle had been involved in a shooting in Newark and recovered unoccupied.
- Dec. 7 (Macopin Avenue) - A 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan that was stolen on Nov. 22 was recovered unoccupied at Branch Court and Allen Lane in Newark.
- Dec. 10 (Mount Vernon Road) - A 2021 Ford Explorer stolen from a Mount Vernon Road residence was recovered on Elizabeth Avenue in Newark.
