4 Motor Vehicle Crimes Reported In Montclair: Here’s Where
Several motor vehicle-related crimes were reported in Montclair last week, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Several motor vehicle-related crimes were reported in Montclair last week, authorities said Tuesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township.
Aug. 26 (Llewellyn Road) – “The complainant reported that he was in the back of his work van when the van began to shake. He stepped out of his vehicle and observed that his driver side door was open. The complainant observed a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height, wearing a face mask, baseball cap, and gray sweatshirt exit the passenger compartment of his vehicle. This suspect then entered the front passenger seat of a silver Kia Optima and fled east on Llewellyn Road. The Kia was reported stolen out of Jersey City.”

Aug. 27 (Glenridge Avenue) – “The victim reported observing an unknown male enter the driver’s side of her Range Rover while it was parked on Glenridge Avenue. The victim began recording the incident and, once the suspect saw he was being recorded, he entered an awaiting BMW and fled east on Glenridge Avenue. The BMW was reported stolen out of East Orange.”
Aug. 28 (Upper Mountain Avenue) – “The victim reported that she observed an unknown person enter her 2017 Range Rover while it was parked in her driveway. The victim yelled out to the suspect who fled to an awaiting Kia and fled the area.”

Aug. 28 (The Crescent) – “An unlocked BMW was entered during the overnight hours. The complainant stated that the glove console was entered and rummaged through but is unsure if anything was missing.”
