5 Things To Know About The Montclair Senior Bus

If you're a Montclair resident 55 years or older with a disability, there's a free option available to get around town.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — If you’re a Montclair resident 55 years or older with a disability, there’s a free option available to get around town… the Montclair Senior Bus.

Montclair residents who meet the above qualifications can call 201-939-4242, ext. 1, to reserve a ride. Make a reservation, and the Montclair Senior Bus will pick you up anywhere in Montclair. If you book 48 hours in advance you will get priority booking; if you call on short notice, the dispatcher will let you know if an open slot is available.

  1. Mondays/Thursdays, riders south of Bloomfield Avenue will have priority when making reservations at least 48 hours in advance
  2. Tuesdays/Fridays, riders north of Bloomfield Avenue will have priority when making reservations at least 48 hours in advance
  3. During the summer, take the Montclair Senior Bus to get to the Montclair swimming pools and tennis courts
  4. Dedicated Wednesday Shopper’s Shuttle service to Brookdale ShopRite will continue to be available
  5. Residents can request a ride to Brookdale ShopRite on Mondays and Fridays
