$600 In Change Stolen From Montclair School, Police Say

Each grade in the school was issued plastic bins to fill with change as a school contest. One of the bins later went missing, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A change bin with nearly $600 was recently stolen from a school in Montclair, authorities said Tuesday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, administrators at Bradford Academy on Mount Hebron Road said each grade in the school was issued two plastic bins to fill with change as a school contest.

One of the grade’s bins was reported missing on Feb. 18. It reportedly had about $600 in change inside, police said.
