Additional Sunday Hours, Expanded Rock 101 Schedule, and Seven New Performance Programs at School of Rock Montclair
Beginning in October, School of Rock Montclair will have a variety of new scheduling and program changes for its students

Beginning in October, School of Rock Montclair will offer new schedules to meet the demand for its offerings. The School will also unveil a selection of new artist and genre themed choices for its Performance Program students
“Once the school year begins, our students and their parents will have very busy schedules, so we’re accommodating this activity in two convenient ways,” says Kevin March, General Manager of School of Rock Montclair. “First, we’ll be open on Sundays from noon to 3:00pm, and eventually from noon to 6:00pm, as we start our fall enrollment.
“Second, due to popular demand, we’ll be expanding our Rock 101 program - which combines weekly one-on-one 45 minute private lessons along with weekly 90 minute group band rehearsals - to Mondays from 3:45 to 5:15pm. Eventually, we’ll also be offering a special Rock 101 Performance Program on Sundays that will allow our beginning and developing students to be featured in their own concert appearance. This will give our Rock 101 students an opportunity to learn and prepare a repertoire of songs that they’ll present at a local rock venue, and also get them ready to join one of our official Performance Program selections.”

For its more experienced students, the School will offer seven Performance Programs that will begin rehearsals on October 3, and be presented at area venues in January ‘17.
“Our Performance Programs are examples of the amazing results that are possible with our unique performance-based music education approach,” says March. “The PP students develop their teamwork skills, stage presence, and musicianship by preparing for two-hour concert events, which honor noteworthy artists and important musical genres.”
