'Yappy Hour' Friday at Amanti Vino in Montclair

At Amanti Vino, every day is Take Your Dog to Work Day, given the place of honor that Rufus has in the hearts of customers and employees. He's the boutique wine and spirits shop's beloved Yellow Lab ambassador seen above. 

So on Friday, June 20th, when dogs (and the people who love them) observe National TYDTW Day, proprietor Sharon Sevrens thought it was a perfect fit to hold the shop's first "Yappy Hour."

"Rufus has always been an important part of my business. People might be intimidated by the look of the store, but when they walk in and are immediately greeted by him, it makes them feel welcome," notes Sharon. "We have lots of people who come in just to see him. Kids arrive and Rufus babysits while the parents do their shopping!"

Well-behaved, on-leash dogs are welcome to stop by the shop for a cookie ... and their humans will enjoy "treats" as well. 
Concludes Sharon, "We want to celebrate all dogs who are going to work on Friday ... as well as the ones who had to be left at home!"
