While riding on Columbus Avenue, a black sedan – possibly a Nissan Altima – stopped close beside the teen. After the juvenile fell off his bike, three “high school-aged” males got out of the car and assaulted him, police said.

The three attackers got back into the car and fled east on Columbus Avenue, the victim said.

The teen lost consciousness during the assault, but was eventually able to make it back home, police said.

The victim said one suspect was wearing all-black clothing, a black fanny pack and a sweatshirt with a dragon decal on it. Another suspect was wearing red shorts and a white t-shirt. There was no description of the third suspect.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact Det. Christian Dorsey at (973) 509-4721.
