Barbara Warmuz was appointed to the job at the school board’s meeting on Wednesday. She will support budget development, financial planning, purchasing and “overall business operations that advance the district's educational mission,” according to the superintendent’s office.
Warmuz holds a master of business administration and a bachelor's degree in accounting.
The district released some additional details about her qualifications:
“Barbara has served Montclair Public Schools with distinction as Payroll Supervisor and brings more than ten years of experience in school district administration, with expertise in payroll management, financial operations, employee benefits, budgeting support, and business office operations. Throughout her tenure with the district, Barbara has demonstrated a deep commitment to accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and service. She has worked closely with the Human Resources and Business Office teams to ensure efficient financial processes that support the important work taking place in our schools each day.”
“Please join me in congratulating Barbara on this well-deserved appointment,” Superintendent Ruth Turner said. “We are excited to see her continue to grow as a leader and contribute to the success of Montclair Public Schools.”
