Dirt Bike Stolen During Montclair Burglary, Attempted Burglary Reported: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A burglary and an attempted burglary were recently reported in Montclair, police announced Tuesday.

The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:

July 27 (Prospect Avenue) – "A resident reported that his detached garage was entered during the overnight hours. The suspect(s) entered the garage by breaking a windowpane on a side door to the garage. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed the victim's 2026 Honda CRF150rb dirt bike, color red."

July 28 (Llewellyn Road) – "At approximately 1:15 a.m., a resident who was away from his home reported seeing two masked individuals walking around his property via home surveillance. The suspects were wearing black and white sweatsuits and were seen attempting to force the front door open. The suspects appeared interested in the 2024 BMW X6 and a 2025 Rivian R1S that were parked in the driveway. The suspects were unable to make entry and fled in an unknown direction."
