Officers found one man – a 42-year-old Montclair resident – lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with a bloody head. Emergency responders transported the injured man to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paterson.

Meanwhile, officers got a description of the other man from witnesses, who said he fled east on Bloomfield Avenue. Police eventually apprehended the man – a 27-year-old male from Bloomfield – in the North Fullerton Parking Deck. He was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the fight, authorities said.

Once at police headquarters, the man allegedly continued to fight with the arresting officers. He was additionally charged with two counts aggravated assault against law enforcement, refusal to submit to fingerprinting, and criminal mischief for damaging police property, authorities said.
