MONTCLAIR, NJ — Three Montclair residents have filed petitions to run for a seat on the town council this November.
The township recently issued a notice about an available councilor-at-large seat in the 2026 general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Here's who filed petitions, according to the township:
The winner will fill the vacancy left by William Harrison, who was appointed as a temporary replacement for Carmel Loughman last year.
The councilor-at-large position represents residents throughout the township.
Polls will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may also cast their ballots during New Jersey's early voting period (Oct. 24 to Nov. 1) or vote by mail. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 13. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Oct. 27.
