MONTCLAIR, NJ — The skies are expected to finally clear up Friday. That's the latest weather forecast for the Montclair area, which could see up to an inch of rain this week.
Montclair is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain will keep coming throughout the week, with sunny skies finally emerging in time for the weekend, forecasters say.
Here's how the rest of the week is expected to shake out, as per the NWS:
Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 11pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 66. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Northeast wind around 7 mph.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11pm and 2am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Low around 67. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then a chance of showers between 8am and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. High near 83. West wind 6 to 8 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 79.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 76.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
Labor Day: Sunny, with a high near 78.
