MONTCLAIR, NJ — A grand opening is taking place this weekend for a Montclair business founded by a celebrity makeup artist.
Dawn Til Dusk Cosmetics opened its doors at 209 Glenridge Avenue in Montclair back in April. Now, the business is throwing a grand opening celebration that will kick off Friday, Sept. 18 and continue until Sunday, Sept. 20 (see schedule below, and learn more about this local business here).
According to its website, Dawn Til Dusk Cosmetics was founded by Dawn Maloney, whose career as a full-time professional makeup artist, hair stylist, educator, and industry innovator spans more than 30 years across beauty, fashion, television, print, film, bridal, image styling and business.
In 1999, Maloney founded MakeupClasses.com, an educational platform dedicated to teaching a "personalized, anatomy-based approach" to makeup. The Advanced Makeup Techniques Courses have reached more than 5,000 aspiring makeup artists worldwide, with her training reaching 22 U.S. cities.
The grand opening weekend will include discounts, mini-makeovers and raffle prizes. Here's what is planned, according to a news release:
