“Behind every delicious menu is a skilled chef, and we are very lucky to have one of our own,” says Basaran-Birson. “Born and raised in Turkey, Chef Ali’s old-world culinary background comes through in Lalezar’s new organic and healthy items, without sacrificing the traditional, savory Turkish flavor in any of the dishes.” Before cooking for guests at Lalezar, Chef Ali was the Executive Head Chef for the Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cypress.
Since 2004, Lalezar has offered a genuine Turkish atmosphere, its cozy dining environment unrivaled by other local Medierranean-style eateries. Lalezar specializes in reasonably-priced cuisine and is constantly emerging with new house specialties that allow guests to indulge in new menu items each time they visit. The restaurant’s interior design is reminiscent of an authentic Turkish palace, and guests are greeted and served by an attentive and friendly wait staff.
