Montclair's Le Salbuen Cafe Market to Showcase Signature Dishes at VLJ's Annual Gala on 12/4
Volunteer Lawyers for Justice's (VLJ) 8th Annual "Arts & Eats for Justice Gala" is once again poised to become one of Northern New Jersey's premier culinary events. Two of the area's acclaimed eateries - Ivy Inn Restaurant & Bar of Hasbrouck Heights and Le Salbuen Café Market of Montclair - recently signed on to provide samplings of their signature dishes at the 2012 Gala. Set for December 4 at the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, the event features live jazz and a silent auction in addition to its showcase of innovative cuisine from top restaurants.
Established in 2001, Newark, N.J.-based VLJ provides comprehensive pro bono services to economically-disadvantaged individuals in New Jersey. Gala proceeds are earmarked for VLJ's extensive programming, which includes free legal counsel and advice; educational seminars on various legal matters such as bankruptcy, consumer law, family law, and special education; and direct representation for at-risk individuals facing critical civil legal issues.
"Ivy Inn Restaurant & Bar and Le Salbuen Café Market are two of the finest establishments in Northern New Jersey, and we couldn't be happier to have them join in this year's Gala," said Karen Sacks, Esq., founding executive director of VLJ. "We also want to thank them for their support of VLJ and its critical programming to the under-served in our communities."
Located in a century-old landmark building in Hasbrouck Heights, Ivy Inn Restaurant & Bar is renowned for both its traditional American cuisine and romantic setting. The popular spot received a Zagat's rating of "very good to excellent" in 2011-2012. In addition, Ivy Inn earned top honors in Bergen Health & Life's "Readers' Choice Awards 2012" for "Most Romantic," "Best Brunch," and "Best Prix-Fixe Menus."
