Apartment Fire on Forest Street in Montclair Quickly Contained
Residents were displaced after a fire in a Montclair apartment on Tuesday.

A one-alarm fire broke out at a third-floor apartment of a three-family house in Montclair on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out at the house on 146 Forest Street around 4:30 p.m., according to TAPinto.net. Flames could be seen coming from windows on both the second and third floors of the house, the news website said.
Montclair firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire. Montclair Fire Chief John Hermann said the fire was extinguished around 5:15 p.m., according to Baristanet.com.

There were no injuries in the blaze, but the residents have been displaced. TAPinto.net said Disaster Relief officials were on the scene to assist the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
