Apocalyptica Brings US Tour To Montclair's Wellmont Theater

Finnish orchestral metal band, Apocalyptica, will bring its U.S. tour to Montclair’s historic Wellmont Theater on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018, where it will play covers of Metallica music by cello.

Founded in 1993, the band is comprised of classically trained cellists that changed the landscape of heavy music by popularizing the sound of ‘neoclassical metal.’ The band has sold over four million albums to date with its most popular being the 1996 album, “Plays Metallica By Four Cellos.”

The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, drummer Mikko Sirén, and vocalist Franky Perez.
